It’s common to have questions about hypnosis based therapies because many of us don’t realize that we slip into a hypnotic state often during the day…

Note: watching a favorite Netflix show when you are relaxed and engrossed and actually startle when someone says your name…. that’s the deeply relaxed state you will be in when we work together!

Hypnosis is thousands of years old and is supported by volumes of scientific research that validate the impressive results that are achieved when you work at this level.

“Will I be under your control? Will you be able to make me do something foolish?”

NO. You remain always in control. You can stop a session at any point. And I cannot – and would not – make you do something foolish. The people you see doing silly things for a stage hypnotist actually, on some level, want to be part of the show. (so many clients sheepishly as if I will make them quack or walk like a duck 🤦 absolutely not!)

Our intention working together is quite different. It’s to locate and heal what has been holding you back from the life you truly want. The opportunity through hypnosis based therapies is to quiet your chattering (conscious) mind by guiding you to a state of deep relaxation. When you are deeply relaxed, your busy conscious mind believes you are safely resting and it, too, can rest.

Your mind gets tired and welcomes a break each night when you sleep. Your subconscious mind never sleeps (among many things, it’s in charge of your breathing, your heartbeat…). With your conscious mind in a quiet state, we can directly access your subconscious mind, which is the storehouse of all of your memories. Together we review the experiences that are the root cause of your limitations today. Healing those, sets you free.

“Will I be reliving past trauma?”

NOOOOOOOO. If a traumatic memory comes to mind, you will REVIEW it not relive it. Most importantly, I will be there to guide you to remind you that you are not who you were in that memory (often an innocent child), you have options, wisdom and resources that younger you did not have, and this is an opportunity to heal and take your power back.

“Will I get “stuck” in the hypnotic state?”

You will be in a comfortably relaxed state of body and mind, and you will be able to come out of it easily when our session is complete. (Feeling lighter ☺ ) And even if Zoom drops off, you will gently awaken on your own.

“What if I can’t be hypnotized?”

As part of the prep for a session you receive a practice audio that guides you through the simple steps to that state of pleasant relaxation; by the time of your scheduled session, you will be completely at ease with the process. (Clients love this initial audio as it is deeply relaxing and they often choose to listen to it long after our work together is complete)

Clients find the session itself to be absolutely fascinating and the personal healing audio they receive that imprints a positive, new pattern of thought and behavior at the subconscious level, is transformational. ⚡
